Engaging masters students in NEXT

The NEXT portfolio of research projects is also engaging masters students in activities, including in measurements at the PETRA III Swedish Materials Science beamline.
Three masters students, Rebecka Kärras, Oskar Löf and Lovisa Åkesson, are undertaking their thesis projects within NEXT. This is possible because Project Leaders have worked to shape assignments for them that are scoped to suit thesis work yet also contribute to the overall NEXT project.
This means that students have also had the opportunity to make measurements at universities, our partners facilities and at the PETRA III Swedish Materials Science beamline. Their work has also involved measurements of materials supplied by company partners.
Students have also been able to work together with each other and our partners. For example, masters students Rebecka Kärras and Oskar Löf worked with each other as well as Michael Musi (KTH, Post Doc), Prasath Rajan (Outokumpu) and Peter Hedström to capture data for their research projects.
